Job Description :

Job Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting management in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will play a key role in managing daily accounting tasks and will assist with month-end closings, financial reporting, and various other accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
Handle the preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, inventory, and fixed assets.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by tracking and analyzing financial performance.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.
Help maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Be responsible for payroll processing and related accounting functions as needed.
Work with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to streamlining accounting workflows.
Assist with Company and medical insurance and workers compensation.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or small business environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks or NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of manufacturing accounting practices and cost accounting is a plus.

Team Size & Reporting Structure: The company has 22 employees, with a financial/admin team of 5 plus the accountant. This position will report directly to the financial/admin team.
