Job Description:

An IT company and I are looking for an Accounting Team Leader who will oversee global financial close processes, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. You will lead process improvements, establish accounting policies, and oversee short-term cash forecasting. Additionally, you'll ensure strong internal controls and prepare IFRS-compliant interim financial statements. With an emphasis on automation and efficiency, you will build and manage a high-performing team, reporting directly to the CFO.Responsibilities:

• Monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes across multiple global entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting
• Optimizing financial processes and drafting accounting policies
• Forecasting and report to the relevant stakeholders the cash flow updates.
• Review and ensure appropriate internal controls and financial procedures are in place
• Best accounting practices aligned with IFRS and Dutch GAAP
• Establish and maintain an elite Accounting and Reporting team by recruiting, retaining, and nurturing top-tier talent.Requirements:
  • Accounting, Finance, or Business Degree
  • 8+ years of experience and solid knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP
  • Tech-minded agent of change with a record of optimizing manual processes, driving efficiencies and deploying automation
  • Experience in fast growing start-up / scale up
  • Demonstrated timely decision-making and communications on complex accounting issues
  • Ability to manage and lead the audit process and the external auditor relationship
  • Experience with various ERPs preferred
  • Consultancy background a plus
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
