Position Overview
Growing Engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer, P.E., with expertise in structural steel and foundation design. This role requires experience working on large-scale industrial projects, particularly in the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Chemical industries. The position is based in Houston, TX, and while remote work is primarily available, occasional on-site and fieldwork in the Greater Houston area is required.
Key Responsibilities Provide field engineering support, conduct structural inspections, and oversee the construction of repairs related to work scope.
Assist with engineering studies, design calculations, detailed design documents, specifications, and project cost estimates.
Offer installation support services and contribute to the overall project success.
Perform structural modeling and analysis using STAAD, RISA, or equivalent software for structural components.
Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundations.
Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with the project plan, timeline, and budget.
Review structural calculations, design drawings, and reports produced by other engineers.
Evaluate and assess inspection reports
Assist in preparing cost estimates for structural repairs for clients.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
At least 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.
Proficiency in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or foundation design.
Experience with STAAD or RISA analytical software (or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
Field inspection experience in heavy industrial facilities.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting.
