Job Title: RN Medical Case Manager IICorVel Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to fill a Medical Case Manager position in Houston, TX.Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Medical Case Manager. As a Medical Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the recovery of injured workers and their families.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical case management to individuals through in-person and telephonic communications with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Evaluate patient treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress.
• Attend doctors' visits, hospital and long-term facility discharge planning conferences, and other relevant meetings.
• Negotiate the delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
• Travel locally up to 60% of the work week/month and may require overnight travel.Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
  • Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other Case Management certifications are preferred.
