Manager - Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) Project Risk Management to
join the team.As a Project Manager - Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV)
project Risk Management, you will have the following
responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the risk management process throughout
the lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure effective horizontal and vertical integration of risk
mitigation activities.
- Provide recommendations for approval, acceptance, closure, and
escalation of top risks to the Associate Program Manager as
appropriate.
- Work closely with the NASA LTV management team, EVA & Human
Surface Mobility Program (EHP), other NASA programs, and commercial
partner teams to identify, document, and report on the risks
associated with project efforts.
- Prompt risk owners to periodically review risk mitigation plans
for effectiveness and progress against associated milestones.
- Facilitate the transfer of LTV-identified risks to the
appropriate organization.
- Provide training to risk owners and integrators on how to
access, view, create, edit, and update risks in the project and
program risk database tools.
- Collect and report risk metrics to LTV Management.
- Assist risk owners and LTV management in implementing risk
decision-making and Continuous Rick Management (CRM) practices into
the LTV's day-to-day activities.
- Facilitate the handling of concerns (i.e. close, escalate, or
maintain in a system).
- Manage the escalation of risks from Concerns and Watch Items to
Risks, respectively, for action as appropriate.
- Be cognizant of Project, Program, and Center risk Systems and
their functions.
- Ensure completeness of closure and acceptance rationale.
- Assist risk submitters to create risks and with scoring (assist
with the tool)
- Interface frequently with inter-organizational disciplines,
NASA System Managers, operational customers, and other
stakeholders.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and
other NASA support contractors.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.Resumes, in month and year

- Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in
Engineering and may be expected to have a related master's degree
and normally possess 10-15 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated success with the technical risk management aspect
of project management.
- Knowledge of and previous experience in delivering flight
hardware at the project or program level
- Self-motivated, team player and adaptable to a dynamic
environment and the ability to complete all assignments as
required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be
expected to effectively interact with customers and management at
all levels.
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at
various meetings.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
and schedules with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.Requisition
