Position Overview: The Converge PMO Manager will oversee the project management team aligned with specific technology practice areas.
Position Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Partner with PMO Director, Managers to operate and continuously improve the PMO.
  
• Establish standards of project management methodology and project management templates within the Converge ecosystem.
  
• Align with technology practices and other departmental leaders to support Converge business objectives through PMO/project management activities.
  
• Measure and manage compliance and performance to PMO standards.
  
• Present standard PMO reporting and project KPIs to PMO director and Practice leadership for the assigned technology practice areas.
  
• Conduct weekly project portfolio reviews with PM team and Practice resource managers/leads to review/maintain the health of each project.
  
• Assign projects to team members based on skillset, experience, and workload.
  
• Work with Technology Practice Project Management Leads and Practice Leads to facilitate practice alignment and technology/methodology/standardization knowledge sharing within the PMO.
  
• Achieve PM individual and team utilization and MBO targets.
  
• Assist other PMO delivery teams with workload balance through resource sharing when necessary.
  
• Create team member career development and training plans.
  
• Conduct team member yearly professional assessment and goal planning.
  
• Maintain/recruit/hire appropriate staffing levels to support all project engagements.
  
• Act as an escalation point for in progress projects.
  
• Assist with RFP responses as needed.
  
  Job Qualification
  Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Ability to manage a team of 5-20 project managers and project coordinators.
    
  • Ability to create and optimize processes.
    
  • Strong communication in English with ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions.
    
  • Strong customer service skills and ability work with various personality types.
    
  • Ability to work with other leaders/teams/departments in a positive way to continuously improve business process and customer experience.
    
  • Understanding of contract language and compliance requirements.
    
  • Understanding of Project Management and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum).
    
  • Understanding of IT service management and project concepts and best practices.
    
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
    
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training.
    
  • 7+ years of experience in managing projects and/or programs.
    
  • 3+ years of experience managing people.
    
  • Understanding of IT consulting/value added services business.
    
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint.
    
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet and OpenAir (preferred).
    
    Ideal candidates for the PMO Manager position have experience in a client-facing role and possess outstanding communication, organization, and leadership skills/capabilities. Working knowledge of IT projects, particularly in the area of cyber-security is preferred.
