The LifeThe Senior Manager, Tax under the leadership of the Vice
President, Tax and Directors, Tax will work closely with
stakeholders and others within the Tax Department on ensuring
accurate tax filings as well as optimal tax strategies,
structuring, and planning for the businesses and ultimately, the
shareholders. The Senior Manager, Tax will assist the Director of
Business Tax with providing guidance as the trusted tax advisor to
the businesses and in recommending strategies that will optimize
the overall tax footprint of the organization. Requires the ability
to effectively identify and communicate complex tax issues across
the organization As a Sr Mgr, Tax you will:
- Work closely with the VP, Tax, and Directors of Family Tax &
Compliance, Business Tax, and International Tax to ensure the most
tax efficient strategies are in place for the businesses including:
* Advise on business tax structures and strategies, * Advise on
transactions and business development tax strategies, * Identify
opportunities to optimize tax and mitigate risk, * Mitigate tax
residency risks in new jurisdictions,
- Second level review of tax reporting
- Manage and assist with process improvements to enhance the
efficiency of the department as well as cross-departmental
coordination on tax matters.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the alignment of tax
positions taken and be able to communicate complex tax implications
to leadership.
- Monitor tax law changes, proposals, court decisions, and IRS
and state rulings. Evaluate their effects and potential
ramifications; determine how to minimize tax consequences to
businesses and UBO's.
- Work with our tax team members and external providers on a
regular basis to ensure proper data and analysis is considered for
transactions. What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited four-year college or
university Req
- Master's Degree Pref
- 10+ years experience including at least 6 years in public
accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required
- Experience in the tax department of a large multi-entity
corporation Preferred
- Key attributes and areas of expertise include: Deep expertise
of federal business tax matters including * Partnerships, s corps,
strategic business structuring, and transaction planning * Ability
to manage multiple projects in fast paced working environment. *
Ability to create complex models of proposed structures to
determine tax impacts of transactions * Ability to communicate
complex tax issues to various levels of internal and external
parties. * Research and analysis of complex tax issues * Ability to
work closely with others and cultivate relationships.

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required Physical and
Environmental Requirements The physical requirements described here
