As a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist - Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining productivity and quality standards, as well as legal and company compliance, as you assist in the preparation of prescriptions in a variety of settings. Sterile Compounding Pharmacist - Pharmacy Manager Job Specifics and Requirements: Area: Houston, TX Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing TX Pharmacist License Education: Pharm. D. Experience Needed: 5 years+ Schedule: Mon - Fri: 9a-6pm - Possible Saturdays on a rotation Pay: $60 - $65+ DOE Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen Sterile Compounding Pharmacist - Pharmacy Manager Job Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the sterile compounding pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with USP and standards Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for sterile compounding practices Supervise and train pharmacy staff in proper aseptic technique and sterile compounding procedures Perform quality assurance checks on compounded sterile preparations Manage inventory of sterile compounding supplies and equipment Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all compounded medications Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop customized medication formulations Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in sterile compounding Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations Manage scheduling and staffing for the sterile compounding department Oversee facility maintenance and environmental monitoring Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers Manage budgeting and financial aspects of the sterile compounding department Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings as needed Provide clinical expertise and consultation on sterile compounding matters Implement and maintain a comprehensive risk management program Oversee the validation and calibration of compounding equipment About Rx relief Rx relief is a specialty staffing company providing supplemental pharmacy professionals for all pharmacy practice settings.
