Job Description:
Leads the seafood team providing overall leadership to daily
operations including profitability, expense control, buying,
merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.
Responsible for Team Member hiring, development, corrective
actions, and separations. Ensures a positive company image by
providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers
and Team Members. Holds ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members
accountable for delivering outstanding customer service, managing
sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and achieving the highest
standards of retail execution. Fosters a positive environment of
outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, directs Team
Members as necessary, and responds promptly to customer needs and
questions. Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and
counsels Team Members. Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful
performance evaluations and consistently communicates WFM vision
and goals.
- Holds ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members accountable for
delivering outstanding customer service.
- Makes hiring and separation decisions in partnership with Store
Leadership.
- Accountable for monitoring and achieving sales, purchasing, and
labor targets.
- Manages ordering and inventory to achieve targeted contribution
to profit margin.
- Establishes and maintains a collaborative and productive
working relationship with departmental and store leadership.
- Establishes and maintains positive and productive vendor
relationships.
- Sustains an exceptional level of knowledge and awareness of
relevant competitors and industry trends.
- Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail
execution.
- Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding
teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
- Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs
Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
- Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels

and inventory management.

- Food safety certification.
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and

manner.
- Thorough product knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and
procedures.
- Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial
performance, monitoring profitability, and managing
inventory.Experience:
- 24+ months retail experience.
- 12+ months of team leadership experience.Physical
Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
- Maintains hand use for single grasping, fine manipulation,
pushing, and pulling.
- Moves in a manner that includes bending, twisting, squatting,
and reaching.
- Exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
- Exposed to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends,
and holidays as needed.
