Job Description:
Reporting to the President Tarpley, the Technical Director will
lead in the development and implementation of Energy Workforce
technical trainings and certification programs. The Technical
Director will play a leading role in the development of best
practices in all Energy Workforce committees including (but not
limited to) energy technology, ESG, well servicing, well
stimulation, HSE, international trade, government affairs and
supply chain. The Technical Director will also serve as lead
technical advisor on any other technical Energy Workforce projects
that may arise.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with EWTC team on all industry guidelines and best
practice document creation for association.
- Oversee The SecureWell Well Control Certification Program which
is a first-of-its-kind course that contains purpose-driven,
comprehensive and practical training for cased hole well
operations.
- Oversee the updating of SecureWell content and any expansion of
the course and liaise with the SecureWell Executive Board to
conduct oversight of course and to lead efforts to update and/or
expand course material and offerings.
- Work with EWTC marketing and course providers to market
SecureWell course.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Health and Safety,
Environmental Science, Engineering, or Education related
fields.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the well-servicing or
general oil and gas industry preferred. Masters degree in Adult
Education could be considered as a substitute.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices specific
to well-servicing, excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure
environments.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft
Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Capacity to work with multiple team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and
professionally.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a
fast-paced environment is important.
- Must be proactive, resourceful and efficient.
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial
to this role.
