Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARYThe Parris Foundation is looking to fill the
position of Program Advisor (full-time & benefits eligible) for the
TRIO Talent Search Program. The Program Advisor will work to
provide services to low-income and first-generation high school
students, with the goal of preparing them for successful entry into
postsecondary education. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in
Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related field and may involve
occasional evening and weekend work depending on grant funding.Key
responsibilities include recruiting new participants, promoting the
program within the community and schools, conducting campus visits,
facilitating workshops on college applications and financial aid,
monitoring participant progress, assisting with college admissions,
organizing academic support workshops and activities, maintaining
student records, serving as a mentor, supervising tutors, planning
college visits and cultural activities, compiling and analyzing
data, and supporting participants with career exploration.Benefits
