have an exciting opportunity for a Command and Data Handling System
Engineer to join the team with Aerodyne.The Command and Data
Handling System Engineer will:The Command and Data Handling
(C&DH) System Engineer supports the Gateway Command and Data
Handling (C&DH) System, a critical sub-system of the Gateway
Program which will return to the Moon.Review designs and develop
models for performance and reliability analysis.Work with Ethernet
and internet protocols to optimize Quality of Service, end systems,
network switches, and wireless design.Support cybersecurity
efforts, including applying NIST 800-53 standards. Develop and
support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to
support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation,
operations, and sustaining engineering.Conduct product life cycle
reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation
activities.Work with requirements to align with hardware
specifications while understanding the verifications.Perform system
engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback
during the design process.Work with ground testing and flight
operations testing of hardware with end item documentation.Review
sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support
architecture requirements, design, verification/validation,
operations, and sustaining engineering.Participate and contribute
to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and
critical design reviews.Perform and review system level
architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the
overall electrical design and performance.Experience with Technical
Review Boards (TRB) and Lifecycle reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)Work
with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk
statements, and plan risk responses.Review and be main POC for the
NASA C&DH Subsystems towards COFR (Certification or Flight
Readiness) activities.Perform other duties as required.Must have
good communication and organizational skills and the ability to

advertised.Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in
Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience.
License and certification may be requiredBS degree in Engineering
from an accredited engineering school12 years of relevant
experience in systems engineeringKnowledge of space systems,
aerospace engineering, or software development.Knowledge and
understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and
technologies including model-based systems engineering.Knowledge of
human spaceflight safety standards (where applicable)Must have
understanding of ethernet network architecture and network hardware
technology Layer 2 and Layer 3.Must have understanding of
interfaces protocols applicable in Avionics such as MIL 1553,
Serial RS232/RS422/RS485, SpaceWire.Knowledge of test principles,
tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements.Knowledge
of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space
hardware field, such as mechanical, electrical, communications
system design.Should be familiar with Hardware for Critical Network
Timing Systems used in Command and Telemetry type systems.Should be
familiar with Data Analysis, Data Recording, and Network Simulation
Tools.Should have experience with verification automation test and
analysis tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Linux Bash
Scripting).Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally
present at various meetings.Experience working in a team
environment. Requisition Preferences:---Knowledge of Flight
Hardware and/or Flight Processes/PaperworkExperience with NASA
processes.Knowledge FPGA/ASIC development and hardware/software
