for this role.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to
provide the essential administrative processes, technical
knowledge, and direction as listed. This role has the
responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global
marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and
technical competence. This position serves as an Area Lead or Lead
on assigned projects or performs complex to difficult engineering
assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies advanced engineering
techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.
- Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports,
including workforce forecasts
- Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide
analysis and forecasts
- Develop and review specifications, including design
criteria
- Participate in activities associated with equipment and
material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
- Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve
problems of complex to difficult engineering complexity
- Participate in people development through mentoring,
development of training material, conducting training seminars, and
performance appraisal input and counseling
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding
solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with
organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

located.Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in
engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related
experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include
but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors,
contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the
job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local,
state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and
time-effective manner
- Professional engineer registration and membership in technical
society (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards,
commercial availability and cost of materials
- Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
- Managing and leading a large project
- Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress
reporting and project close-out
- Practical field experience
- Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of
word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation
programsOther Job Requirements
- Perform control systems sizing calculations for control valves,
relief valves, flow elements, thermowells and other
instrumentation
- Create instrument index and datasheets, generate reports, and
monitor design wiring and loop development activities in Intergraph
Hexagon Smart Instrumentation database
- Develop complex control systems narrative specifications
- Prepare complex Instrument design and installation
requirements
- Develop complex control systems, cause and effect diagrams, or
logic diagrams as required by project
- Represent control systems in model reviews
- Closely monitor 3D modeling prepared by the design group using
review software
- Develop complex specifications for Distributed Control Systems
(DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Safety Instrumented
Systems (SIS) hardware and software applications
- Monitor DCS/PLC/SIS design developed by the design group
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Specifying instrumentation
- Control systems procurement activities
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation;
can recognize/report problems associated with control systems
representation on P&ID
- Developing control strategies and represent on
P&IDPreferred Qualifications
- Develop intermediate complexity control systems architecture
diagrams and perform control systems studies
- Prepare intermediate complexity analytical Instrument design
and installation requirements
- Advanced level of practical Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
participation
- Practical experience in layer of protection analysis (LOPA) and
Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews and safety integrity level
(SIL) assignmentSalary Range118,500 to 213,500Market RateThe market
rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary
range; however, variations in final salary are determined by
additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant
years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and
