intelligence to enable the Technology + Innovation lab to perform

What You Will Do:
- Work with technical leadership team, peer data scientists,
developers, and product teams to identify opportunities for
leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy AI and machine learning models
and solutions that address business challenges and opportunities in
areas such as predictive maintenance, risk assessment, geospatial
analysis, digital records management, and operations
optimization.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, feature
engineering, data sampling, model building and performance
evaluation using various tools and techniques.
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to
communicate insights and findings to both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software
engineers, business analysts, and domain experts, to integrate data
science solutions into production systems and align them with
business objectives.
- Function as a senior consultant with vendors, business
stakeholders, product and technical leadership on AI/ML related
technologies and product planning.
- Research and stay updated on the latest advancements and trends
in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and
related domains.
- Facilitate capability building within the Data Scientist
community by supporting, coaching, and mentoring junior data
resources and helping lead the data science community of
practice.
- Lead others by example and provide innovative solutions to
complex data science problems by being a leader in one or more data
science technical domains.
- Lead and advocate the development and documentation of tools,
standards, techniques, processes and best practices for the data
science and technical team to help ensure robust solutions.
Who You Are:
You have the following education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science,
or a related quantitative discipline.
- Master's degree (or greater) in Information Technology,
Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline is
considered an asset.
- 10 years in senior engineering and technology roles working
with product development teams, delivering, and building digital
products - while remaining hands-on.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science and machine
learning
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience building and using
algorithms and models in several of the following areas: supervised
classification and regression, unsupervised learning, multivariate
time series, anomaly detection, computer vision, natural language
processing, generative AI, and simulation / optimization.
- Experience and familiarity with Responsible AI frameworks and
toolkits for transparent and explainable AI.
- Proficiency in Python and related software packages for
statistics, data science and machine learning, such as numpy,
pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch,
etc.
- Demonstrated experience using Agile methodologies and
engineering principles to develop solutions using tools and
techniques such as object-oriented design, code modularity,
testing, version control, IDE, etc.
- Experience in cloud computing platforms and services, such as
Databricks and Azure (including AI Services, Azure ML).
- Experience in using data storage and processing technologies,
such as Azure storage Apache Spark, SQL databases.
- Experience with using big data batch and real-time streaming
tools.
- Experience in developing presentations and communications to be
shared with internal and external stakeholders, facilitated by
using data visualization and dashboard creation tools, such as
matplotlib, seaborn, plotly, Power BI.
- Experience in using MLOps tools and techniques, such as model
versioning, deployment, validation, testing, monitoring, lifecycle
management, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience in industry data science (predictive maintenance,
risk assessment, pipeline operations and optimization, digital
records management, geospatial imagery / Lidar) preferred.
- Experience modeling physical systems with a combination of
physics and machine learning (e.g., oil and gas hydraulic
systems).

Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light -
moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above

(able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print),
hearing requirement.
