Volt is immediately hiring for Assembler in Houston, Texas.



As a Assembler you will:

This person will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will also follow directions from the Production Manager for daily operations. Position will mainly entail, but not be limited to the following tasks:



Perform activities in assembly functions
Perform assembly and material movement functions
Follow production schedules & communicates with supervisor
Receive instructions from production supervisor and from operations on production plan
Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements
Inventory control and cycle counts
Maintain a clean working environment
Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs.
Must have knowledge of hand tools
Must have knowledge Crane Operation
Performs other duties and/or completes training as required by Supervisor.



This is a Full-Time, Contract opportunity.



The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment
Trained and competent - to work all stations or areas requested.
Quality and Safety background
Must be at least 18 years or older
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
High school diploma or GED required
6 month of previous assembler experience on a production floor
Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to prolonged standing, bending, lifting and/or moving materials
Valve assembly - Mechanical experience
Quality background
Safety background



Pay Rate: $16 per hour
Duration: Temp to Hire
