Enbridge is actively seeking a Measurement Analyst II. This role will be responsible for technical information associated with meters, regulatory requirements and measurement data. The position performs an analysis of measurement issues and determines appropriate solutions to measurement issues and data corrections. USGTM has over 5000 meters that need to be analyzed and processed and requires an analyst to perform the associated functions.

What You Will Do:

  • Reviews and edits gas measurement data to ensure accuracy of volumes provided to downstream systems, including revenue billing system and customer interface system.
  • Assists in the resolution of gas balance discrepancies and issues using BI tools
  • Works closely with Capacity Services and customers to address measurement related issues including OBA variances and third party issues
  • Works with measurement team members to support existing applications used to record and manage measurement information.
  • Utilizes FERC gas tariffs and NAESB standards to understand measurement requirements. Then, utilizes this knowledge to address measurement related issues.
  • Works with field personnel to identify field equipment issues related to meters and gas chromatographs.
  • Evaluate volume fluctuations and meter discrepancies by utilizing Cygnet trends
  • Knowledge of various meter types and understanding of diagnostics related to meter issues
  • Understanding of relationship between gas quality and measurement
  • Work on facilitating new interconnects and pipelines/assets
  • Assists in providing reports to governmental agencies and internal groups.


    Required:
    • Knowledge of Gas Measurement Principals
    • 1-4 years or direct measurement experience.
    • Understanding of Gas Pipeline operations
    • Work under minimal supervision and make independent decisions using measurement analysis
    • Demonstrated proficiency working with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office Products.


      Preferred:
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent gas measurement industry experience
      • Gas pipeline operations related experience.
      • Prior experience with Measurement Applications such as GMAS or FlowCal or other Measurement Applications

        • Tight deadlines in responding to project development and investment opportunities
        • Some travel required

          Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

          Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
