VOLT is immediately hiring Material Handlers for a NW Houston
Manufacturing company - Temp to Perm - 1st Shift 5 AM - 3:30 PM
Monday to Friday, 30 minute lunch

The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for the
moving and storage of finished goods and raw materials as well
loading product per customer orders. Will power wash tractors and
provide assist in other parts of production as needed. This person
will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will also follow
directions from Production Manager for daily operations. Position
will mainly entail, but not be limited to the following tasks:
Remove finished goods / raw materials from or to production lines
and place in warehouse or production
Unloading contatiners - Large, HEAVY loads
Feeding and staging production line
Loading scrap metal
Responsible for maintaining forklift equipment
Adheres to all work instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, and
housekeeping procedures
Load / unload trailers
Power wash equipment as needed after leaving production floor to
prepare for final inspection prior to shipping out.
Maintain clean and orderly warehouse
Responsible for the accuracy of all transactions and product
scanning
Load finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial
truck/material handling device
Responsible repairing any damage units
Responsible for maintaining ISO standards
Responsible for reporting safety issues to personnel with authority
to initiate action
Performs other duties and/or completes training as required by
Supervisor.
NOTE; Duties for this and all Material Handler levels are
generically defined to describe job functions with similar skill
levels. Area supervision has responsibility for defining and
communicating those duties which apply to specific job functions
within this classification.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years or older
Demonstrate competency operating 5K lbs forklift with 2+ years
experience
Basic Math such as addition, subtraction, division, and
multiplications.
Have 1 year of previous assembler experience on a production
floor
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment
preferred
Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing
environment, such as but not limited to prolonged standing,
bending, lifting and/or moving materials
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Duration: 3 Months
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
