• Under broad direction, manages US indirect taxes to include sales & use tax, unclaimed property and severance tax on a multi-state basis across multiple legal entities.
• Responsible for audit defense / controversy strategies, including audit design, technical research, audit workpaper review and audit appeals.
• Directly manage sales/use tax compliance team.
• Responsible for tax technical research/analysis to support tax positions taken.
• Special Projects.
• M&A transaction support.
• Systems experience including SAP/Vertex preferred.
• CCH/RIA or similar research tool experience required.
• Responsible for mentoring, career development and coaching of personnel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in larger SALT team environment.
• Requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or related field and 7+ years of US indirect tax experience.
• Applicable professional certification preferred.
