• Act as a key interface between Trading IT and the business, ensuring a strong understanding of the specificities of the U.S. gas and power trading market.
• Proactively engage with trading teams to align technology solutions with business objectives and priorities, identifying opportunities to add value.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall Trading IT strategy and system landscape.
• Work closely with software and application engineers to design and deliver tailored solutions that enhance trading operations.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring compliance with user, business, and functional specifications, as well as IT control frameworks.
• Engage with business analysts and IT professionals across the Trading IT organization to drive consistency and efficiency in solution delivery.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap and resource planning of the delivery team, ensuring IT initiatives effectively support the evolving needs of the trading business.Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Quantitative Finance
• 3+ years of work experience in a utility or a commodity trading environment, with knowledge of the energy markets
• Knowledge of front-to-back system flows and trade lifecycles including understanding of different physical and derivatives instruments and their respective risks and P&L measures
• Strong interest in IT and technology, and experience of software engineering and application management
• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and to work under pressure, good communication and organizational skills, and attention to detailThe salary range for this role is US$90,000 - US$140,000.At Talan, we invest in our employees' well-being and empower them with benefits, including:
