The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for
leading the strategic planning and business analysis efforts for
CAPV, the biggest segment in Olin Corporation, a leading chemical
company. This role is critical in driving the company's growth and
operational efficiency by providing insightful analysis, strategic
recommendations, and effective planning processes.Director of
Financial Planning Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of the segment's
financial planning processes to support the company's strategic
objectives.
- Lead the annual financial budgeting and forecasting processes,
ensuring alignment with corporate goals and financial targets.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive benchmarking
to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance,
marketing, and operations, to develop and execute business
plans.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on
financial analysis and market trends.
- Mentor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track
progress against business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities,
including Capital projects, productivity initiatives and commercial
opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of business analysts and planners,
fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional
development.Director of Financial Planning Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance;
Master's Degree preferred; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business planning,
strategic analysis, or a related field within the chemical
industry.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the
ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable
insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the
ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing
and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage
multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in business planning software and tools.
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.Olin is
