Life Insurance Claims Consultant

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Life Insurance Claims Consultant who will provide expertise in processing complex claims and support departmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in claims-specific or multi-departmental project work, potentially acting as project manager
Review complex claims, making informed decisions that may deviate from normal guidelines
Provide direction, develop, train, and mentor less experienced claims staff, including auditing and feedback

Required Qualifications

7 to 10 years of Group Life Insurance experience
2 to 5 years of experience as a claims technical consultant/manager
Moderate to extensive insurance contract compliance experience
Knowledge of industry-related claim systems and practices
High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
