Description:Reports to: Operations ManagerFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptDepartment: ServiceJob Summary:A Commercial HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. Key duties include diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring systems comply with safety and efficiency standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Additionally, technicians must possess good customer service skills as they often interact with clients to explain repairs and maintenance procedures.Supervisory Responsibilities:May assist with recruitment, interview, hire, and train new staff. Duties/Responsibilities:Diagnosing issues with HVAC and refrigeration systems through observation, testing, and setup procedures.Disassemble and reassemble commercial HVACR equipment to perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to service equipment and mechanical systems.Complete electronic documentation of service tasks, materials used, and labor hours.Explain service charges and work performed to customers' satisfaction.Maintain inventory stock on service vehicles.Reconcile work order documents, vendor packing slips, and weekly timesheets for supervisor review.
